2016 meetings
January 2016This is the result of our knit & natter evening in January. A lovely vase of flowers all made by the ladies. A riot of colour I think you must agree.

February 201623 ladies enjoyed our talk in February which was by Stephen Jon, who gave a lively interpretation on the varied & unusual ways every day items may be utilised for puppetry. Everything from a feather duster to a mask, can be brought to life by the puppeteer.
He started as a scenic & prop maker for the theatre & went on to be a very creative entertainer. Everything from finger puppets, Punch & Judy, shadow puppets, marionettes to stringed puppets can be used in this genre. He even had two very beautifully decorated Asian puppets & masks made for wearing to mime. A most interesting evening. |
March 2016Our March meeting was attended by 18 ladies enjoying an enthusiastic game of curling. 6 teams of 3 played several rounds against one another. Sliding the stone onto the mat turned out not to be as easy as it looked but great fun nonetheless.
